It is often nowadays that you will hear about climate change, carbon emissions an energy crisis and so, so much more. You would not be faulted for listening to it all and thinking “Well what am I supposed to do about it? How do I make a difference?” Fortunately, the answer is quite simple.

Renewable Energy!
Not only is renewable energy far better for the environment, but overall, it will end up saving you money on all your electricity bills (but we will get into that more later). Solar panels are the most efficient and easiest first step you can take towards a better environmental impact. Solar PV (photovoltaic) panels are made from photovoltaic cells, these are materials that absorb photons (light energy) and release electrons (electricity), or in a simpler manner. They absorb the energy produced by our beautiful sun and push out all the electricity we need for our day to day lives!
“How does that all work though?” is what you might ask, and it really is an uncomplicated process. It starts first with the setup of the panels. Solar cells are connected into chains to form larger units known both as modules and panels. Once that is all dealt with, it is a matter of letting the panel do its job. Sunlight will hit the panel’s PV cells, which then release electrons into an electric current. From there the current flows into what is called an inverter, changing the direct current into an alternative current. The alternative current is fed back into your home’s consumer unit which then will function as your own electricity grid!
With the “What” out of the why. Next comes the “Why?” “Why should I have Solar Panels installed? Why are they more beneficial?”
The most obvious answer is the benefit solar PV has on the environment, a direct decrease in the production of air pollution or greenhouse gasses when operating, when replacing other energy sources that are more traditional, solar energy can make an enormous difference both to your personal emissions and overall, to the environment surrounding you!
Saving money! This one should be a no brainer... In 2025, with the way things are, electricity bills are getting increasingly expensive. This year alone we are expecting another 6% increase in price from April to June and projections show that they will only continue to increase. Solar panels guarantee a return between five to ten years depending on how much energy you produce and use, saving you a lot of money that you would inevitably have had to keep putting back into your bills. That holiday you have always wanted? That new car? Becomes a lot more possible when you start saving money from your electric bills and start producing your own energy throughout the day and using it throughout the night!
Furthermore, any extra electricity you generate can be sold to the grid, gaining you even more money! Applying to an SEG (Smart Export Guarantee) tariff with an energy supplier would mean any extra electricity generated that you are not using can be bought from you.
Solar PV systems are built to last! Durability is vital in the process; the systems need to be able to withstand weather and anything else that may come down on it. Silicon, glass, aluminium, plastic, and copper build up the hard frame that reinforces the solar PV equipment. Making sure it is well guarded from any external damage, wet weather, or anything else that might otherwise disrupt it.
And then, with no moving parts whatsoever, there is little maintenance ever needed for solar panels. And should a problem arise? We are only a call away!
Finally. “How?” Kendrick Renewables will offer you a free quote on installation for Solar PV equipment, all you would need to do is contact us through our website or give us a call. From there? The hard part is done, the rest will be for us to do! Someone will be in touch soon after and the process will begin from there.
Quick, efficient and hassle free. As it should be.
